What kind of information does The Cake Dove collect?

 

When you fill in your personal details on my Contact Form or Booking Page, the Cake Dove will need your name, address, Email & Phone Number. Also any other relevant information with regards to your wedding details & venue required.

 

If you would like to sample a cake-tasting box, your Credit or Debit card information will be collected. This is all held securely by WIX that includes its own firewalls and payment systems.

WIX may use Software tools to measure & collect session information, including page-response times, length of visits to certain pages.  How you found the www.thecakedove.co.uk website page (directly or via a social media platform), interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.

 

How does The Cake Dove collect information?

 

When you conduct a transaction on my website (such as buying a cake -sampling box, or fill in a Contact form or Booking Form, or when you subscribe to a Newsletter) As part of this process, I will collect your personal information that you have given, such as your name, address, phone number & Email address.

 

 

Why does The Cake Dove collect such personal information?

 

I only collect any personal information (PI), for example, Email addresses for The Cake Dove marketing campaigns, or any information that might be of interest to you etc - when I email directly. No information is passed onto any third party unless I have your permission, or are required by law to do so. I am committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, and I fully endorse and adhere to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations that replace the Principles of the UK Data Protection Act 1998. The Cake Dove website is available on the hosting company Wix.com platform and database hosting company Pinterest.  Wix.com provides me with the outline platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through wix.com's data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications.  They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

Both Wix and Pinterest use security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of any information.  the information is stored in a database in a secure environment at their data/hosting centres.

wix.com collects statistical data about our user’s browsing behaviour, the type of devices and software being used by them and their geographical location. Statistical information is only used by me to understand user behaviour, to provide a better service and to customise my website accordingly.

All direct payment gateways offered by wix.com and used by my company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help secure the secure handling of credit card information by my store and its service providers.

 

How does The Cake Dove communicate with its Site visitors?

The Cake Dove will contact you to notify you regarding your wedding cake or celebration cake inquiry or booking, or if there are any changes regarding your cake in any way, ingredient or style-change.

I would firstly contact you via email and then if there is no response from you, and this issue such as an ingredient change or style-change, then I would ring or WhatsApp you. I would never send any information to you (unless you asked particularly for a paper detail design of your cake). your address is collected only for cake delivery purposes or to send a design cake copy to you. Also of what areas have heard about the cake Dove.
